THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to or volunteered to help our 5th Grade Committee so far. We are getting close to our goal and every dollar donated will help provide food, decorations, and many other things for the fun activities that are being planned by the 5th grade teachers. We are excited to share that Field Day shirts for every student and staff member at the school have been ordered! Shirts will be delivered to students on Thursday, May 7th, and should be worn on Friday, May 8th for the annual Field Day event. If your student is absent on Thursday, his/her shirt will stay in the classroom and be distributed on Friday morning prior to Field Day starting. After Field Day is over, students can wear their Field Day shirt on Friday spirit days. The PTSO is also donating popsicles for one of the Field Day stations for students to have a cool treat during rotations.

The PTSO will be holding elections for the upcoming two-year term at our General PTSO Meeting on Thursday, May 14, 2026 at 4 pm in the Art Room. PTSO Members should have received an email with the link to apply already. Available positions are Vice President, Treasurer, Recording Secretary, Communications Secretary, Committee/Room Parent Coordinator, and Volunteer Coordinator. More information regarding responsibilities will be in the application. If you are not a PTSO member but want to apply, you must join the PTSO prior to the application deadline (May 7, 2026 at 4 pm). If you would like to vote in the election, you must have joined the PTSO at least 14 days prior to the election, which is April 30th, 2026. The link to join is below. The current year’s membership goes through June 30, 2026.

Our last PTSO sponsored lunch is today for those who ordered. Thank you to Panda Express and California Pizza Kitchen for providing us with our lunch fundraiser all year. And thank you to everyone who ordered a lunch. We raised $4,000 between both lunch fundraisers this year!

Have any of your children grown out of their uniforms? As the weather changes and you reorganize closets, please set aside anything you are willing to donate to this sale that adheres to the school’s uniform policy. The PTSO will be collecting gently used uniforms to sell over the summer. Funds raised from sales will benefit the General PTSO Fund, which allows the PTSO to promote and organize more fun events for students and families. More information will be sent out soon on when and where to donate so please keep them at home until we secure a place to store them. If you would like to be part of the Used Uniform Committee, please email contact@ptsodoralredrock.org.

Thank you to everyone who has participated in our PTSO Paid Free Dress days once a month. Because of you, we were able to spoil the teachers and staff in February and will be using the remaining funds at the end of the year to spoil them some more.
